On-Duty & Open Now
Last updated 2026-07-20
Cyprus pharmacies take turns covering nights, Sundays, and public holidays on a rota set by the Pharmaceutical Services of the Ministry of Health. The pharmacy "on duty" (εφημερεύον φαρμακείο) on a given day is required to stay open through that rota window, usually until 23:00, so at least one pharmacy is reachable in each area even when most others are closed.
On the map page, tap "Locate" to share your position — pharmacies are then sorted by distance from you, with the closest on-duty pharmacy at the top of the list and marked on the map. You can also search by name, address, or area without sharing your location.
The search box matches pharmacy name (Cyprus pharmacies are named after the pharmacist, e.g. "Antoniou"), address, municipality or city, district, postcode, and phone number — so you can type a city like "Limassol", a district, a pharmacist's surname, or a postcode to jump straight to the closest matching results.
All of Cyprus's government-run duty rota: Nicosia (Lefkosia, Strovolos, Aglantzia, Lakatamia, Egkomi, and more), Limassol (Lemesos, Agios Athanasios, Mesa Geitonia, Germasogeia, Kolossi), Larnaca (Larnaka, Aradippou, Livadia, Oroklini), Paphos (Pafos, Geroskipou, Peyia, Polis Chrysochous), and the free Famagusta area (Paralimni, Agia Napa, Deryneia, Sotira, Frenaros). Search a city or municipality name on the map page, or tap "Locate" to see the on-duty pharmacies nearest you.
The on-duty schedule is refreshed once a day from the government source. The freshness label at the top of the map page shows exactly when today's list was last confirmed.
Treat the listed hours as informational rather than guaranteed. A pharmacy can swap its duty day, close early, or change hours at short notice, even though the schedule is only a day old. If you're relying on this to reach a pharmacy in a hurry, call the number shown before you travel.
Don't wait on this site for a medical emergency — dial 112, the emergency number in Cyprus and across the EU, to reach an ambulance or be directed to the nearest hospital.
